2026: The year of Taking New Territories

The lord spoke to me several weeks ago and put it in my heart that in this coming year 2026, people will step into new territories. Physical and spiritual.
1 Chronicles 4:10” 10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.
You wonder why God had to ask Abrham to move to a new land?
Some new authority starts in new territories.
New agreements and covenants a spoken in new territories.
A new territory places you in a better place to understand and move.
The comforts, familiarities, and barriers in the current territory may blur your vision in Christ.
New territories positions you to better blessings.
When God gave territories to the Israelites: He gave them both spiritual and physical dominion.
Territorial dominion. Territorial dominion is taking charge of a particular territory.
Taking territorial dominion is extending our influence and the reign of Christ
Physical dominion- To control the economy, social and political affairs.
Spiritual dominion-We take spiritual dominion even before we actually see the physical manifestation.
Some of the manifestations that will happen in 2026 will actually happen in the physical realm tonight. Way before you see a breakthrough in the physical realm.
That is why we will seriously enter in the realm of the spirit and speak to God and sometimes even to the devil.
There were no territories given that were not preceded by prophetic declarations.
The land of Caanan was prophetically given before it was actually given.
Genesis 12 :7 The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land.” So, he built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him.
The city of Jericho was given out prophetically before it fell unto Joshua and his people.
Joshua 6:1-2 Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in.2 Then the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men.
When Israelites lost land to the enemies, it was announced through the prophets before they actually lost it.
[Be careful because the enemy maybe pronouncing your death while you slumber] The bible admonishes us to be watchful in prayer at all times.
Now you know the importance of declaring that new spiritual position.
That new job.
That new level in business.
That new level of relationship in your family.
To rule over situations.
You do not take territories without a fight-how we will take territories.
§ In this journey to a new territory, our faith, trust, obedience and willingness to fight will be tested.
Their faith and trust is tested at Jordan.
Joshua 3:14 So when the people broke camp to cross the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant went ahead of them. 15 Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, 16 the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah (that is, the Dead Sea) was completely cut off. So, the people crossed over opposite Jericho.
You must believe and trust.
The river Jordan looked like it was about to swallow someone-They had to trust God and step into it.
Their obedience is tested at Jericho.
Joshua 6:4 Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. 5 When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in.”
The instructions given seemed boring and did not make sense, to walk round the city quietly for seven days.
They needed to just obey . then they saw the delivering hand of God and the walls fell opening the city for them.
Their willingness To fight is tested at Ai-They had to fight at AI
Joshua8:1 Ai Destroyed Then, the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Take the whole army with you, and go up and attack Ai. For I have delivered into your hands the king of Ai, his people, his city and his land.
The greatest battle a man fights is with his own flesh. To fast, give, dedicate time to serve, pray.
There is no empty territory-spiritual forces govern areas.
- Every region city environment village, they are assigned satanic forces controlling these areas.
- These spirits are called territorial spirits.
We see the Prince of Persia, a territorial demon governing the Kingdom of Persia.
Daniel 10:11-13 He said, “Daniel, you who are highly esteemed, consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling.
12 Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. 13 But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.
Daniel set himself to pray and set God’s people in a new spiritual territory-the prince of Persia resisted the angel who came to deliver the answer to the prayers.
You don’t just move to a new territory without facing resistance.
Territorial spirits even confronted Jesus-It was their operating area.
Matthew 8:28 Jesus Restores Two Demon-Possessed Men. 28 When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes,[a] two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. 29 “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?”30 Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. 31 The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”32 He said to them, “Go!” So, they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water. 33 Those tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men. 34 Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they pleaded with him to leave their region.
- These demons begged Jesus not to drive them away from that territory because they considered it their territory.
- The people of the area begged Jesus to leave their region!
- The area was still under the spirit captivity and Jesus presence there was discomforting to the spirits.
The mission of TERRITORIAL SPIRITS.
They scatter.
Zechariah 1:18 Then I looked up, and there before me were four horns. 19 I asked the angel who was speaking to me, “What are these? “He answered me, “These are the horns that scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem.”20 Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen. 21 I asked, “What are these coming to do? “He answered, “These are the horns that scattered Judah so that no one could raise their head, but the craftsmen have come to terrify them and throw down these horns of the nations who lifted up their horns against the land of Judah to scatter its people.”
They Resist the plan of God.
2 Samuel 5: 6 The king and his men marched to Jerusalem to attack the Jebusites, who lived there. The Jebusites said to David, “You will not get in here; even the blind and the lame can ward you off.” They thought, “David cannot get in here.” 7 Nevertheless, David captured the fortress of Zion—which is the City of David.
When David was newly crowned as the king of Israel it was resisted by the Jebusites.
Territorial spirits in the Jebusites who lived and controlled the city of Jerusalem.
You will face resistance; you must remember these words and take possession.
They impend | They disorganize.
Nehemiah 4:1-6 When Sanballat heard that we were building the wall of Jerusalem, he was very angry and upset. He started making fun of the Jews. 2 Sanballat talked with his friends and the army at Samaria and said, “What are these weak Jews doing? Do they think we will leave them alone? Do they think they will offer sacrifices? Maybe they think they can finish building in only one day. They cannot bring stones back to life from these piles of trash and dirt. These are just piles of ashes and dirt!”3 Tobiah the Ammonite was with Sanballat. Tobiah said, “What do these Jews think they are building? If even a small fox climbed up on it, he would break down their wall of stones!”4 Nehemiah prayed and said, “Our God, listen to our prayer. These men hate us. Sanballat and Tobiah are insulting us. Make bad things happen to them. Make them ashamed, like people taken away as prisoners. 5 Don’t take away their guilt or forgive the sins they have done in your sight. They have insulted and discouraged the builders.”
6 We built the wall of Jerusalem all the way around the city. But it was only half as tall as it should be. We did this much because the people worked with all their heart.
Nehemiah was called to rebuild the walls and mark a territory-He was resisted by Tobias, and his friends.
They devised ways to delay and impend.
Our battle is not canal
Ephesians 6 :10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

MY PRAYER FOR THE YEAR 2026
- Bless me.
- Expand my territory.
- Let your presence be with me.
- Protect me and give me peace.
