UNDERSTANDING CHRIST SUPREMACY: O9/28/2025

Colossians 1:15-20 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or [a]principalities or [b]powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the first born from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His Last Sunday we said the greatest danger we are in as the last days church, is of losing the Supremacy and centrality of Christ. It’s not only a danger but a big tragedy. At the heart of our faith should lie the recognition that Christ is supreme, that he is above all powers, dominions, and authorities. Nothing above him in heaven and on earth. His supremacy means that nothing exists outside of his control and purpose Romans 8:27-28 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Christ Sovereignty means that he is sovereign over our lives, in the moment of uncertainty we can trust he is working all things for our good and his glory: For he works all things together for good. ONCE we recognize Christ supremacy, this will usher us in finding our identity. Instead of seeking validation through worldly standards, we find our worth in being children of God 1 John 3:1-2 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of [a]God! Therefore the world does not know [b]us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now we are children of God. In recognizing Christ Supremacy, we find our purpose: Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Understanding Christ supremacy not only gives us knowledge but also to transform our lives. How are our lives transformed by understanding and recognizing Christ supremacy: 1: Building trust in trials: (1 Peter 5:7) Casting all your cares upon him: for he careth for you. When we go through challenges that life bring, lets always remember that Christ reigns over our circumstances, instead of giving up and allowing fear to rule, we can cast our cares upon him, and embrace peace knowing that he is in control. Tell your neighbor that he is in control, Song Hide me now, under your wings, Cover me, within your mighty hands When the oceans rise and thunder roar, I will soar with you above the storm, Father, you are king over the floods I will be still and know you are God Remember the three Hebrew boys, they refused to bow to Nebuchadnezzar, the Bible says, when they were throne into the fire which was heated seven times than normal, there appeared the fourth man during them. Daniel 3:23-25 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. 24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and Spake, and said unto his counsellors, did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. 25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking amid the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. 2: Prioritize Christ by investing quality time in prayer- In the culture filled with noise of every kind- From Financial pressures, Career ambitions, social expectations and so on,by prioritizing our relationship with Christ we ensure that our decisions are guided of him.You cannot invest in God you don’t know. It’s the fellowship through consistent quality time in prayer that we draw knowledge and insight from the word of God and builds a stamina in the realm of spirit to draw the wells of life, once we prioritize our fellowship with Christ, then the rivers of the living water start welling up from our bellies and ministering grace to many. 3: Our knowledge of Christ supremacy leads us to serve with Purpose BY understanding that we are created by him and for him, inspires us be intentional in our service to God. Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. WORSHIP I’ve come in the volume of the books; it was written about me. To do your will O God, no matter wherever may come my way I’ll follow, I’ll follow, I’ll follow I’ll follow. 1 Corinthians 15:58 therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
