Matthew 25:23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!"
An inconsistent service is an inefficient service.
Inefficient service is unfaithful service.
Faithfulness brings blessings.
1. Faithfulness to God and His Word
A. Learn to wait on God- It’s a sign of Faith and trust in God.
Psalm 62:5 "Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him."
If we are faithful, we will wait upon the Lord for sustenance, not anything or anyone else.
Most of the times, corruption is a result of impatience with God.
The corruption shortcuts tell God; you couldn’t faithfully wait.
B. We need to be faithful to God by standing according to his word through righteousness.
Psalm 119:11 "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."
Do as the word of God says.
Walk the word, eat the word, and live the word of God.
C. God will certainly bless us when we abide in his word.
Above all we will have his perfect peace, even while living in a world of calamities.
John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
2. Be Faithful as a Church Member
A. GAEC is every Christian’s spiritual family.
Don’t be a tourist, be part of the body of Christ.
Get involved and seek to know what goes on in the church.
Be accountable.
1 Corinthians 1:10 "I appeal to you, brothers, and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought."
Own up the vision of the church.
Give your tithes and offerings.
Be physically consistent in meetings.
Show some level of commitment.
Malachi 3:10 ""Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. "
B. Be Faithful to Your Leader's Through Obedience
1 Samuel 24:1-6 "And it came to pass, when Saul was returned from following the Philistines, that it was told him, saying, Behold, David is in the wilderness of Engedi.2 Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks of the wild goats.3 And he came to the sheepcotes by the way, where was a cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet: and David and his men remained in the sides of the cave.4 And the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which the Lord said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe privily.5 And it came to pass afterward, that David's heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul's skirt.6 And he said unto his men, The Lord forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the Lord's anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord."
He was so faithful to a leader who didn’t even like him.
Honor them, show them some love and respect.
Elisha and Elijah, Gahaz and Elishah, Aron and Moses, David, and his Soldiers.
We will be growing as leaders in our own capacity.
We will be blessed.
Don’t judge, seek to take revenge from them or harm them.
Hebrews 13:7 "Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith."
C. Support the Leaders by Emulating their Example.
1 Corinthians 11:1-4 "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. 2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God."
May come early like your pastors.
Visit the sick,
Be kind to people.
Study the scriptures.
Seek to know your spiritual leaders , pastors so that you may be able to emulate them.
support the leaders in ministry, as they labor for the Kingdom of God, in tears and in sweat,
1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 "And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you.13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves."
1 Timothy 5:17-18 "Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine.18 For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And the laborer is worthy of his reward."
3. Be Faithful to Your Family
A. Husbands are commanded to love their wives like Christ loved the Church and gave his life for her and wives are told to submit to their husbands.
Husbands are to love.
Husbands are to sacrifice.
Wives are to submit.
Wives are to align themselves.
Ephesians 5:22-25 "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body.24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;"
B. Husbands should be faithful to their wives and wives should be faithful to their husbands.
Hebrews 13:4 "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whore mongers and adulterers God will judge."
Family faithfulness means honor.
C. Children are told to obey their parents in the Lord.
It’s a conditional promise. Parents are told not to provoke their children to anger. but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Children are to obey.
Children are to honor the parents.
Parents maintain discipline.
Do not yell at the children.
Do not provoke them to anger.
Ephesians 6:1-4 "Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."
4. Be Faithful in Your Finances
A. Be a good steward
Luke 14:28-30 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29 For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, 30 saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’"
Proverbs 27:23 "Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds."
Plan your expenses with great care.
constantly pay attention to your financial health.
Honor the lord with your wealth and all the gifts he has given you.
Malachi 3:10 "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."
Pay your tithe on time. Everything you have belongs to God
Give regularly, in addition to the tithe. Not because God wants your money.
Giving is a form of worship. To worship means to surrender your whole self and surrendering your finances is a good place to begin with.
Proverbs 3:9 Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops.
5. Be Faithful to Your Nation
Romans 13:1 "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. The Bible commands us to submit to the government because it’s the established will of God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves."
The Bible forbids rebelling against the governing authorities.
Rebellion against the government is rebellion against God, [Romans 13:2 "Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves."]
Do not be like pagans and criticize the government authorities. God is in control of all.
The Bible also urges us to pray for those who govern the nation.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."
6. Be Faithful at The Workplace
Ephesians 6:5 "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ."
We are to obey our employers in the Lord.
This means we should obey them, as long as their wishes don’t contradict God’s word.
Don’t steal from your employer or deceive him. We should work for our employers as if we are working for God.
Ephesians 6:8 "Because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free."
Employers should treat their employees with respect.
God will judge the employer that oppresses his employees.
Ephesians 6:9 "And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him."
The Bible tells us that Joseph was faithful in every assignment he was given, whether in Potiphar’s house, in prison or palace he remained faithful. And God elevated him from one level to another.
Conclusion
In closing, I want to urge you to search for yourself and know whether you have been unfaithful in any of these areas.
Proverbs 28:13 "Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy."

This is a wonderful message, the word of consistency mentioned in your sermon really hit me- because it's true, how useful are your gifts if you're not consistent with it? Truly was blessed in this sermon, Thank you.
I’m blessed
